I bought 2 state of the art hearing aids from beltone some 6 years ago at the cost of $2,300 for both. one got broken in my pocket and the other stopped working . So I took it to a beltone dealer and he looked it over then called the main company it seems the opra model I had gotten had been discontinued for months prior to me getting them looked at. When I got them they were a new line and now they can’t fix them this really stinks since they were a new line when I first got them I will never recomend Beltone to anyone just because of my experance with them. I can’t wait till the ones I just ordered get here . I spent enough on what was suposed to be execlent quality that a reptibale company won’t stand behind there $2,300.00 hearing aids screw them !

These were too large for my ear. The package has no reference to a phone number to call and get help.

the ear piece is slightly too large and not fitting all ears. this was for my mother and she had a problem getting it in her ear so had to resort to a lap top ear piece with ear pads that worked just fine. i wanted this magni ear to work and it did in mine but smaller is better for women

i bought this for my father. He said it did work. but he has to set volume to the highest. The battery only can last up to 6 hours. better to buy a rechargable one.

The product was missing parts. I had to print out labels and waste more time to get the product that I ordered. Product was good in the end.

    Could be dangerous
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I am a specialist in the field of hearing and sometimes use cheaper amplifiers from the electronic store carefully to help students temporarily. A friend brought these in after his mother stated she couldn’t stand them. I was shocked at the sound levels that appeared to be coming out of them with no compression or reasonable limits! My opinion is that without proper documentation at to maximum SPL these should be assumed to be potentially dangerous to a person’s remaining hearing.

    Not Acceptable amplification
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I had hoped that this device would enable me to hear the TV at a sound level that would be comfortable for others but as it does not decsriminate bewteen spoken and room noise or background clatter I was unable to use it. The ear pieces are uncomfortable and did not allow any satisfactory length of use.

    hear what?
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
This only works if you want to amplify the sound right next to you as in someone talking. It does not amplify sound such as a tv in the same room. also has a lot of static

i thought this product would help my husband hear at least have the tv lower and be able to communicate in a normal conversation.

First the high pitched sound, then it would not stay in his ear and now I’m trying to return the darn thing. Do No waste your mone or time.

    Not much good for voices
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I didn’t expect a lot, so I can’t say I’m disappointed, and this might work for some things. For instance, if a person was profoundly deaf and couldn’t hear a knock at the door, the beep of the microwave oven, or a car honking at them as they wandered through traffic, this would probably make a real difference.

However, for speech it doesn’t help, at least in my case. It actually does amplify the speech, but if you can’t read lips it will be hard to understand what’s going on… sounded so distorted that if I listened with my eyes closed and my finger in my “good” ear, I couldn’t understand anything being said around me. I could tell they were talking, but that’s all. I think this may give the illusion of hearing better, since there IS sound coming out of it, but for understanding speech it isn’t useful.

I got this for my grandma because I got tired of yelling for her to hear me. Now I can speak at my regular tone and we are both happy. Great product without spending $100.00+ dollars.

    Excellent AMPLIFICATION system!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
After both of my hearing aids were damaged beyond repair, I could not afford new ones. I needed something so that I could continue to work. I bought these to use in the interim of getting new digital aids. After carefully reading others’ reviews, I was ready for anything.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well they worked! They are slightly uncomfortable (especially compared to my personally-molded hearing aids) but more than worth the price! They do amplify ALL sound and cannot “cancel out” ambient noise like digital hearing aids can. But they work beautifully for me!

Word to the wise: these are AMPLIFIERS, not hearing aids. My husband wanted to try it on and was quite surprised at the difference in sound through the amplifier. It sounds the same as my first experience with an aid; it seems as if everything you’re hearing is coming through a microphone.

It is bought for my parents, but not working well for them.

The sound is amplified as it’s supposed to be, but also the noise is amplified.

This stuff just doesn’t work! I got this for my dad to try after seeing it advertised everywhere (tv, fliers inserts). My dad has fine hearing but wanted to be able to ‘boost’ sound for tv, phone conversations, etc. For $16 you get the ear piece with spare batteries and brush. I tried it on myself to see how well it works.. no surprise, it doesn’t. It has crappy construction and is very inconsistent. You do hear amplified sound from your surroundings but in a muffled kind of way (kind of like when you plug your ears and hear yourself talk). The volume dial doesn’t always work, sometimes it turns volume up, but other times nothing happens. Occasionally meddling with the dial produces a sharp, high pitch sound which cannot be good for your hearing. This looks more like a toy than a real hearing aid, but what do you expect at this price. Still I didn’t expect the product to be harmful to your ears. Even with a refund, I’m still out the s/h fee. This stuff can be hazardous and should really be banned!

    This Gadget Works!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Purchased this for my 82 year old husband. He has an expensive hearing aid that he hates and says is awkward to use, so he never wears it.

This little gadget actually works! He says it is comfortable, easy to wear, and now he can hear the TV and what people are saying.

Definitely worth the money to give it a try, plus it comes with extra batteries, too.

This is junk , if like me and others yours doesn’t work at all.
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I thought I’d try this for my dad as a first step to hearing loss solutions. It was less than $20. Unfortunately, I held it for him as a gift too long too return to the seller. It never worked. I checked the batteries on a voltmeter they were fine. After this, I tried to fix it myself – I don’t recommend it. I think the next cheapest alternative is about $75 on ebay. Good luck – avoid this, unless you’re prepared to return yours if it’s a dud.

I bought the spare batteries for two cents each here on Amazon..so coupled with the device, Jimmy is happy enough. keeps us from shouting or our ear drums busting from the tv for him.

    Poor Choice

I bought this for my 89 year old mother. Although it did work, the battery lasted only a few hours. This was not the bad part, it continually fell out of her ear. For 2 weeks I tried every way to put it in but it never stayed in. I returned the product and still have not gotten a refund months later.

Sound Amplifier Just as Good as $1000. Molded Units
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is the second set of Angel Sales Magni Ear Plus for my 80 year old Dad. When it was time to replace his custom molded hearing aids he decided he wasn’t going to spend another thousand dollars….he purchased two of the Magni Ears (one for each ear) which lasted him well over a year. He remembered paying about $25-30 retail for each unit and asked if I could find replacements for him….”the sound is just as good as what I had from those molded units” Hearing Aids AMPLIFY sound. Anyway, this item works well, is inexpensive….and as they wear out, I’ll just purchase more through Amazon…..

It work good. the most important think is to know what type of problem you have. Not all the problems can be solve with amplification system.

the batterie life is 8-9 hrs in continuous use.

    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
Sorry to say, this was a very bad purchase. My husband ordered it for me because I’m having difficulty hearing often these days. When we tried to use the item – called on the packaging “Migraine Magic” – it emitted such a high pitched sound that our dog went crazy…barking frantically. I’m serious! The only way it could be effective on a migraine is to stop using it.

This is not hearing aid, but hearing amplifier. And it delivers what it promises. Nice and compact. And works well. I would buy this in future. Thought batter cabin can do with some improvement.

    great for the money
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is a good product. I had a few problems the first few days with static and figuring out the correct insert size to use. but once that was done, it has been smooth sailing. It really does improve my hearing, the static is gone and it makes a big difference. Only thing is, you can’t (or at least I can’t) wear it for extended periods of time…it starts to get a little uncomfortable. But for a few hours here and there it works wonderful, and for the money you can’t beat it!

    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I bought this device for my 83 y.o. Dad. He liked it at first. It broke within the first 2 months. Also the batteries last like 8 hours max. The local drugstore sells each battery for like $5.00. Try going to ebay and ordering them like I did for $1.20 plus $5. shipping for 100/pack. Better deal. I would buy one again if they were made sturdier…and I paid $29.99 for our broken one. Next time will go to amazon first.

    MAGNI EAR SAVED MY JOB
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I had the most expensive digital hearing aid that always slipped around in my ear, gave me feedback and felt like an ear plug.

The Magni Ear feels more comfortable, doesn’t slip around and helps me to hear my very soft-spoken boss. I got the Magni Ear as a quick fix when my boss told me that I wasn’t listening in meetings. It did the trick and saved my job.

I bought three separate units. One to keep at work, one to keep at home and one to carry with me. Sure it eats up batteries if you keep it on all the time, but I only use it when I expect to be around soft-spoken people, so a battery will last a long time.

It amplifies just the same as the expensive hearing aid…picking up background noises. With practice, you get used to that with a standard hearing aid and the Magna ear.

I’d say the Magna ear is WELL worth the tiny price you pay for it. Like anything else that is small, lightweight and made of plastic, you have to be careful with the little pieces so they don’t break. I’ve been using them for 2 years….they are still going strong.

Because I use them on and off during the day, I’m still using the original battery pack that came with the product.

I just can’t say enough good things about this product!
