Product Description

Fully automatic, microprocessor-controlled circuitry shuts off after 8 hours (or when the lid is opened). Highly-effective germicidal cycle has the same powerful germ-killing abilities, but with a shorter cycle at only 90 seconds, and greater reliability over the long term. Quiet fan gently circulates warm, dry, temperature-controlled air around the hearing instrument, causing damaging moisture to retreat from inside the instrument to the circulating air. Powerful Dry-Brik II desiccant is like a magnet to the moisture that is released, ensuring that the moisture is gone for good. Saved us thousands of dollars

My son has hearing aids and they broke every 6 months. We were coming up to the end of our warrant and they had broken for the four times with humidity caused failure. I looked on-line and found this product and bought it. The hearing aids have not broken once in 3 years.

The drier that we got with the hearing aids was just a heater. I told the doctor about this and she has started to recommend it.

These units work great. Our daughter is seven and has both a cochlear processor and a hearing aid. We use them every day and they just keep on working.

Dry and Store does the trick!

I was having a terrible time with moisture shorting out my hearing aids. This would cause a loss of amplitude or a crackling sound and eventually lead to failure. After several repairs I started looking for a new hearing aide solution. I mentiond this problem to the tech from Sieman’s and he recommended Dry and Store, not a problem since.

    Second time around

This is the second of these units I have purchased. They both work great, however the first one failed after about 3 years. There is a flexible electrical cable that goes to the hinging lid and this cracked and failed on the first unit. If I had to guess, I’d say the UV light that does the sterilization caused premature plastic failure.

I have had this for several months now and have had no problem with it at all. True, you do have to replace the Desiccant brick every couple of months which is less than $30 a year. I also noticed that battery life is extended a day or 2 more than before I started using this. During the summer I would have problems with intermittent operation due to perspiration but this pretty much solved that problem. Considering the cost of good digital hearing aids, I think this is an excellent investment that improved my overall hearing aid experience.

    Bad Design.

I purchased this drier from my local audiologist. I’ve had problems from the beginning with it. You have to make sure the lightbulb is sitting exactly right or the unit won’t turn on. I returned the first two I had while still under warranty but now I’m looking at replacing this pricey unit with my own money. It also uses bricks which are expensive. This is supposed to be the best hearing aid drier on the market but I think it has a faulty design. I’m looking for something more reliable!

    Great but requires maintenance

We have used this product for our young daughter’s hearing aids for 2 years. It has been great. It removes moisture extremely well. When I remove the hearing aids after a ‘cycle’ they are so dry that any small amount of wax just flakes right off. She has never had an ear infection and has never had a problem with her hearing aids functioning. Once she dropped them into the bathtub and I immediately put them in the D&S and they were good as new when I took them out. We also use it to store her FM boots. It even saved one of our cell phones when it got wet. :)

Now, the bad – you have to purchase the bricks of dessicant – for us they seem to last quite a while and the fan helps dry out the hearing aids even if the dessicant is old. Secondly, the unit itself has ‘broken’ before – but the company fixed it and returned it to us. We are now having another problem with the unit starting and I am wondering if I need to buy a new one or if it is covered under warranty.

Bottom line: it’s a GREAT product but requires the purchase of non-rechargeable dessicants. we seem to have had some functioning problems but not sure if this is indicative of all dry & stores.

Requires purchase of separate drying packet which last a month in the best case senario.
