    Only worked one time

I received this promply by mail and followed the directions to plug in for 12 hours before using. It worked one time and did amplify but when i recharged the unit it will not go on. It is not worth the effort for the guarantee as they want you to mail it back so you can have it replaced.

First 15 Minutes Were Great…Then it Died!
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
Serves me right…I praised the device right out of the box..During the first trial 15 minutes, it worked great. Then, following the instructions, I charged it up for 12 hours. That was it. Could never get it to turn on after that..IntelliEar died..nada..nothing..I read similar stories so something is definately defective with these things and ASIS (the company that makes them) should pay attention. Should have known it was junk just by the name of the company ‘ASIS’..Also, fyi..the manufacturer doesn’t offer a warranty. The instruction book tells you not to send it back to them. They want you send it back to where ever it was purchased. What does that tell you about their confidence in their own product? I’ll try another product and hope for better luck!

    it works!

I bought this rechargeable amplifier for a gift and it works really good. The only problem is it doesn’t hold a charge long enough. That’s why I gave it a 4 rating instead of a 5!

    Works great, when recharged
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
The IntelliEar Plus, rechargeable Sound Amplifier is Ok, but they don’t give instructions on how often to recharge it. It seems mine does not keep a 5 or 6 hour charge. I have to keep recharging it. When its recharged, it works great. john

I ordered this for my father and it is wonderful. He can now watch tv without killing our ears and we can talk now not yell so he can hear us. Also the first one we get had a defect so I was a bit disappointed. I called the # to the company and they were great. I called, they said we will send u a new one & that was it. Two days later we got the new one and it worked!

    Intelliear- save your money!

This item is not at all worht the price.

The very cheap amplifiers work as well or better than this item.

It’s uncomfortable to wear, and you are always adjusting the volume to get the sounds you are interested in hearing!

    IntelliEar Use
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars

I really like my IntelliEar Sound Amplifier as when I go out anywhere I can have up to 4 hours of being able to hear

clearly without having people getting annoyed as I always have to ask of what is being said. I don’t have the expense

batteries, for this amplifier is rechargeable; it is great!

    IntelliEar Plus a good product.

After receiving a defective IntelliEar Rechargeable, then the replacement, a battery operated IntelliEar, was shipped in error, I finally received my IntelliEar Rechargeable four days ago.

I am pleased to say the company stood behind their product and made it right. I have used various ear amplification products in the past and IntelliEar to date proves to be the best.

The only down side I see is the bulkiness of the product, it does not fit as close to the head as others. And, the red light on the unit remains on when turned on. Minor issues compared to not hearing!

    GREAT….

I got this for my boyfriend for Christmas, and he loves it. He has a hard time hearing the TV and it works great…..The only problem is the little thing that goes around the ear which is a little hard to get on.

    Bad amplifier
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I bought this when we went to visit family in N.Y. for my husband who uses a wireless set up (Radio Shack $20)to amplify the sound of their TV so that they did not have to have it to loud. It did almost next to nothing to amplify the sound.

    Save your money!!

    Waste of money
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I bought this for my dad a month ago. The first time he tried it on it worked fine. But then it started to make a whistling sound. Not all the time but frequent enough (in fact, most of the time) and loud enough to make it unusable.

Overall, a complete waste of money.

    It’s a junk

My experience with it was really bad. This product produces static, nothing else. It’s a piece of junk.

    Intelliear-Plus

Best one I’ve had yet. I also have the Stealth, the Bell and Howell Silver Sonic, and the Loud and Clear. This Intelliear Plus rechargable reproduces voices with the least distortion of any of them. Also background noise is nonexistant. It will go about 12 hrs on a charge so its best to charge it every night while you are catching your ZZZZs.In my estimation it is the best performer of the lot.It comes with angled ear cones so it will lay closer to your face. Bell and Howell also has this feature. It might not be as pretty as the others but makes up for it in performance.

The Stealth and the Loud and Clear both have more background noise and voices aren’t as clearly defined. The Stealth I have is rechargable and also lasts about 12 hrs. The Loud and Clear uses hearing aid batteries size 312. The Bell and Howell has less background noise and is clearer than the Stealth or the Loud and Clear. It uses two button type batteries size AG13 not to be confused with the size 13 hearing aid battery which is smaller. It seems that the battery operated jobs need battery replacment about as often as the rechargables need recharging. So the battery ones could get expensive to operate if used regularly. I would recommend going the rechargable route.

UPDATE 11-04-09 The instruction sheet claims a battery charge will last about 5 hours. I have found that to be true.I was so pleased with this unit I bought 2 more so when one goes dead it goes on the charger and another goes in the ear.

IntelliEar Plus- Rechargeable Personal Sound Amplifier i’m an old guy from australia and ordered this product, it arrived exactly on time like they said it would, i tested it and found its a really snazzy little unit, and works a real treat, plenty of volume very clear sound, hardly any scratchy side noise like when you rub ur cloths etc, you can set the volume to required level.

it fits both ears and really does look great the modern mobile blue tooth look, and the recharging aspect of it is extra good a big plus here as battries are dear these days, the packaging is great and amazon.com did all paper work n more online for me right through they are great.

i really cant fault this unit its genuine qltý for the price, and works better than the regular hearing aid i had because you can turn it right up if needed i really recommend it to any one especially us old guyes n girls.

    Totally useless

It’s a static machine. It produces static. Nothing else. The microphone apparently is broken. No sound, no matter how loud, is amplified. The only thing I hear is static. That’s it. I figured it would be junk. I was correct.

    Avoid.

    AMAZING PRODUCT!!!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I have tryed MANY tv sound amplifier systems and many more that are not advertised on TV. This is the only one that lives up to its promises or even comes close.

I have purchased listen up, loud n clear, , silver sonic XL, stealth secret, some other bell n howel crap. NONE come close to the ability of this product.

One it is directional, meaning i listen to what im looking at, not the overall general room, i can still hear other noises around me so its not like im deaf to the entire room if im just looking in one direction however its like whatever im looking at is right next to me.

It is also rechargeable. a HUGE plus

Adjustable volume level and its COMFORTABLE, something most other products are not.

Other products i have used amplify white noise, like the wind or static or other stuff i dont need to hear, it is very minimal in this product.

If you are looking for a hearing aid id really recomend this product. I do not have bad hearing so i got this more as a spy/toy thing however it has met and exceeded all my expectations. my father does however have hearing loss and he used it and finds it works wonders as well so im sure if you need hearing aid it will work dandy for you.

Again, ive tryed many many personal sound amp products. i strongly reccomend this one.
