Got two of these to try out for my marginal hearing loss because I didn’t want to be ripped off for thousands of dollars by the charlatans who pose as “audiologists.” You know the ones who run slick “free trial” ads that aren’t free at all – and then push outrageously overpriced electric ears on people who often can ill afford them – even though they may truly need hearing help. If I had been desperate and more hearing impaired, would have kept them and used them as needed. I sent them back, because of feedback problems – but I suspect that many folks would find them useful in spite of feedback and some other issues. I give them four stars because they’re just about the only “value” out there in the hearing aid jungle of scams run by “audiologists.” I will probably take the plunge and order the Siemens aids that Amazon sells at some point.
Useless in conjunction with any cell or telephone…sqeak!!!!

We tried and reordered the hearing aides, thinking it was our fault they didn’t work without a constant squeal. We gave up and send the second set back as well!
Very uncomfortable

I bought this one for my mom, before giving it to her I tried it myself.
This device does filter out noise, and the sound is ok for me. The major
problem is the feedback noise, in which the amplified sound from the
speaker got feeded back into the microphone, making a high-pitch sound.
To eliminate the feed back noise you have to insert the thing into your
ear really tight, make sure the sound does not leak out. That makes it
extremely uncomfortable to wear. Tried contacting the factory, they have
this one month no-obligation return policy, but their customer service
line is always busy, email doesn’t work either.

I bought this for my hubby about 10 days ago. He loves it! It has made a huge improvement in his hearing and quality of life. I would recommend this highly. Great product!
Best one I’ve ever had

This hearing aide has the features of those costing 8x more. It has worked perfect for me ever since I received it. The batteries last a lot longer than those I used in my old aide, plus I like the ‘low-battery warning beep’ feature. It took me 4 days to become accustomed to the ‘medium’ ear tip, and I had no problems after that.
EARCON Technologies, Inc. have excellent Customer Service! I recommend their product to everyone tired of paying high prices, and getting little or no service. Amazon was very prompt in their service, as well, they delivered the day after I ordered this product. I am very happy with both companies.
