I believe its stamped on the hearing aid. It says ahs# and has some numbers after that. Is that the hearing aid serial number or am I looking in the wrong place?

I am an audiologist and I don’t currently fit widex or siemens, however both are very good manufacturers. I wish I knew more about the particular models you are considering, but I don’t. However, in general WIDEX is usually the best aid in my opinion. They are a great manufacturer and always put out great products. I have had some issues with siemens aids in the past. And I actually have hearing loss and have worn siemens aids and had problems with my own aids as well.

Choosing the right hearing aid is a very essential step taken by a person suffering from hearing problem. Buying the wrong hearing aid will not resolve their problems. Even though all the hearing aids have the same parts to carry sound from the environment to the ear, they come in different styles to cater to the fit of the ear canal. Sizing will be different for different people as per their ear structure. There are number of hearing aids which are so small that they are perpetually invisible. Some fit partially in your ear canal. Also the battery life is less for a smaller hearing aid and the cost increases with decrease in size.

Common hearing aids styles are:

I went on ebay looking for a hearing aid because I can’t seem to hear out of my right ear much anymore.
