DO NOT PURCHASE THIS RUBBISH MADE IN CHINA. THE BATTERIES INLCUDED DIE AFTER FIRST COUPLE OF USES. WHEN I OPENED THE SECOND PACK OF BATTERIES, THEY WERE DEAD. IT’S 100% GRAND THEFT. IT’S 100% ABUSE. THESE PEOPLE SHOULD BE REPORTED TO THE FBI.

    Hearing Device
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Bought this product for my 91 year old Dad. He had used a similar product that was not rechargable, the batteries were expensive, and the batteries were too small for him to handle/see. The rechargable device took care of all these previous issues. This hearing device is not the same as a hearing aid, but is helping him to understand conversation better. The different size ear pieces help adjust to the individuals ear canal sizes; however, my Dad would have liked to have even a smaller one. The wire that goes over the ear is very, very flexible. Therefore, everytime he puts on his glasses, the ear piece moves causing the hearing device to become misplaced. This is the nagging flaw.

    WASTE OF MONEY
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I purchased this for my 90 year old uncle. He was nice about it and thanked me and weeks afterwards, I asked how it was working for him, he answered “Oh, just fine.”

Turns out he was just being nice – I went to visit him recently and it was sitting in a corner collecting dust. I charged it up and tried it myself and it does nothing to help amplify. The earpiece kept popping out of my ear, so it was completely uncomfortable. What a waste of money…it was $29.99, with taxes and shipping a ended up throwing away $40.00. NOT WORTH IT. By the way – I read the reviews myself and thought, they were basically c ratings so why not give it a try…this was in fact a big fat “F” mark for me and I lost $40 in this trial…

80 yr. old mom likes using this Amplifier
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Bought the amplifier for my 80 yr. old mother because she dislikes using her expensive hearing aid. She says the Amplifier is perfect when having company as she can hear people speaking, and can listen to the TV at a normal volume. Plus she looks fashionable because the Amplifier looks like a bluetooth !

    terrible product
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
My mom couldn’t hear any better from this product.

It is too heavy and the wire the fits around the ear is

thin and flimsy. It does not stay on the ear at all.

Our adult son requested this device for Christmas, due to a slight hearing impairment. It has worked perfectly for him, and he has used it daily. No problems whatsoever.

It is fine but not as expected
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I bought this product with the hope of get what it specifies. The size is good if you use it they would think it is for your cell phone, that part is covered. In another hand the fuctionality is not really good specially if you are in an area with several noises you get confused and you may need to point properly to get the sound or words you need to listen, it is good if you are in a quiet place and you need to listen something far from where you are, anyway you need to point it to get the sound.

    Nothing but static
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I had to have the volume up to maximum to hear anything. Then there was so much static I couldn’t use it. Sent it back.

    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
The product did not work beyond a month, even with following the initial charging instructions very carefully. I carried it in a bag in my purse in order to have it on hand whenever I needed it, which was the reason for the purchase. It also did not fit well when wearing eyeglasses.

    Doesn’t work

The Stealth Secret Sound Amplifier doesn’t work. There is an echo and sound is not clear. I wouldn’t recommend buying it.

    Need better fit earpiece
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I bought 3 of this product for family members who has hard of hearing. All of them complaint that it is uncomfortable to use the amplifier due to the earpiece being too big. Does anyone knows of where I can get smaller earpiece? Other than this problem, the product seems to work fine for its purpose.

  14. Clair G. Carter says:

    too much background noise
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
Does not make it any easier to understand people talking because it amplifies background noise so loud it covers the speaking. The only time it was helpful was when things are perfectly quite, which is almost never for me. At the price it was worth a try but did not help me, and as far as using it watching T V it made understanding the talking much worse, than without the amplifier.

don’t know how it can be stealth when you hear yourself breathing. Would be good for a costume prop but that’s about it. I really can’t recommend this thing

I gave this to my 93 yr old father in law when one of his hearing aids quit. He likes it and wears it all the time. no more batteries to buy.

    SECRET STEALTH SOUND AMPLIFIER
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
INFERIOR PRODUCT. DOESN’T HANG FIRMLY ON EAR. MUST, HOWEVER, BE AIMED AT SOUND SOURCE. DIFFICULT TO KEEP IN PLACE AND THEN DOESN’T WORK WELL. EASIER TO GET UP AND MOVE.

AT LEAST, PURCHASED AT AMAZON, IT WAS CHEAPER.

  18. Marek Zalewski says:

    Good, affordable amplifier
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
To begin with, The Stealth Secret Sound Amplifier was not purchased for myself, but for my 92-year-old father, who understandably has some problems with hearing. He was actually at a 30-day a trial period of what is was called “the best” by the salesman – a $5,800 hearing aid, with which he had some problems. To make a long story short: Dad has returned the hearing aid, saying that The Stealth Secret Sound Amplifier is really quite enough to help him hear TV better.

This might of course not be the case for someone with more severe hearing loss, but it worked out quite well for us. The rechargeable batteries of the The Stealth Secret Sound Amplifier are also a great time and money server, compared to the need of buying hearing aid batteries, which expire after a few hours.

    Falls off the ear
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
The Stealth Secret Sound Amplifer won’t stay on my ear. It isn’t as effective as a cheaper brand which I purchased and that one sounds tinny. I’ve lost a bit of hearing and needed the amplification to take notes at meetings. It isn’t that great.

  20. S. Davis says:

    DISAPPOINTED IN PRODUCT
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I purchased this amplifier for my 88 year old mother who has trouble hearing. It only produced static and proved to be too difficult for her to fit in her ear and then turn it on per the instructions. Definitely not a device for older people. It did not amplify any sound for her, just static and even when reading through all the reviews and adjusting as people suggested, we just could not get it to work.

  22. V. Wiedemann says:

    not worth the money
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
Even the various size ear pieces do not keep this thing from falling out when my father tips his head just a little bit. The amplification is not very good and the battery needs to be recharged after just a couple of hours.

If he wears one of his old real hearing aids in one ear and this amplifier in the other we can have “sort of” a conversation, but I would not recommend spending money on this item.

The old amplifier he had which attached to his shirt with two ear pieces (which also fell out sometimes) worked much better than this one and it cost a lot less.

    Didn’t work for me.
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I primarily purchased this unit to be able to listen to a TV at night when traveling while my husband slept. The unit did as it was purported to do, pick up sound, all too well. All sound in the room was amplified, not just the TV. So having an AC turned on, a fan, or a heater, would just come through loud and clear and muffle the TV. On the up side, Amazon, refunded my money with no hestitation when I returned the unit. Thank you Amazon!

    ineffective
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I bought the Secret Stealth Amplifier for my dad to see if it would help his hearing problem. It did not. I tried it myself and found that it has limited frequency response (sounds tinny) and amplifies everything (ie noise). You can’t turn the volume up very far because if you do, you get extreme feedback. Bottom line – I think Amazon should remove this item from its offerings.

    It doesn’t work
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I bought this sound amplifier for my grandmother and she said it doesn’t help her hear better-it just amplifies her own voice and some noise,so she is not going to use it.I’m very disappointed that I trusted the company and already sent it to Europe and will not have a chance to return it, so it is a waste of money.

Problem with the “soft ear tips”
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
Have used a Stealth (purchased from catalog – it came with no “Instructions for use”) approx 1 year and was using the last soft tip. Always losing the “soft tips” and had no known source for replacement purchase, so ordered the Stealth SSA to have spare soft tips and hopefully to have one which would last all day on a fully charged battery. Now have spare tips and a source to purchase more (from instruction booklet), but the battery in both the Stealth and the Stealth SSA only last 10 hours or less – not a full day. Based on my first review which Amazon.com passed to Stealth SSA, the latter sent me a set of tips. Five star kudos to both for that! However, I still can’t rate the product any higher because I can’t use a full day without recharging. Recommend fixing, if possible. Also recommend offering the spare soft tips on Amazon.com. In summary, the product itself – 2 stars and customer service – 5 stars!

    Stealth Sound Amplifier
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
My husband wanted to use this amplifier when we were both watching television together and he needed the sound too high for my comfort. It works–for about 10-15 minutes, then cuts out to static.

The same thing happened in church–no good, in the middle of the sermon.

I don’t know if we just got a lemon, or if he is supposed to “wait” for the static to clear, or what, but we find it useless. Big disappointment!

    Wish I could return it!

    Sound advice
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
How does one assess the value of returning to the world of the normal of hearing be it socially, physically, emotionally or psychologically? I leave the answer to that question to those who are thinking of buying this product because that reader is fully aware of what those lost values are. Here is a case where there is truth in advertising. Would I like that background sound as in restaurants be eliminated? Yes. Would I like the volume increased? Yes. Would I like that it fit so that it lies closer to my cheek?

Yes. However, given the price when compared to what i paid for a professionally constructed customized hearing aid, this level of quality sound amplification is not only more than satisfactory but so much so that age 80 I would not leave home without it, in fact I am seriously thinking of buying a second one as a back-up. Get the picture?

    Echo chamber
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
It’s OK but not what I expected. The ears work much better. The sound is not a naturally amplified one – just louder with some sort of echo.
